The Bush Devil Ate Sam is an important record and a serious story, yet told easily, and with delightful humor. This is one of the most satisfying books I have ever read, because it entertained me thoroughly AND made me feel better informed. —Hilary Custance Green: British Author... Fantastic bird pics!!Steve
Thanks, Steve!
Hollows in trees are valuable real estate for birds. Great pics.
Thanks, Peggy. And I might add tha hollows in trees are also make great homes for a number of mammals.
I suspect this Montezuma could take its own sort of revenge! It was interesting to see the Kiskadee. They’re occasionally spotted in the Rio Grande Valley, which is the northermost limit of its range.
I wouldn’t want to try and steal its food! As for the Kiskadee, several of the birds I read about listed the Rio Grande as their northern border.
Great bird shots, Curt. You must have a good camera. (Or a super phone!)
Thanks, Brian. I have a digital Canon Power Shot SX70HS with an equivalent photo range of 21mm to 1365mm that is light and small enough that I can shoot with one hand if necessary. I love it.
21 to 1365mm? Wow. That might make me change my views… I’ll check it. Thanks, Curt.
