The Bush Devil Ate Sam is an important record and a serious story, yet told easily, and with delightful humor. This is one of the most satisfying books I have ever read, because it entertained me thoroughly AND made me feel better informed. —Hilary Custance Green: British Author... Safe travels in Africa! We are looking at a similar trip. Great pictures at Burning Man!
Thanks, Steve. And no surprise that you and Carol are planning a similar trip to Africa. 🙂 We will be there tomorrow!
The planets look amazing. Lucky you to be going to Africa. My heart belongs to Africa.
Lots to explore on this planet Peggy. And I share your love of Africa. Tomorrow!
Thank you for sharing these amazing planets Curt. I feel like I was there. Wait, it cancelled.. how did you get out.. Yikes.. I’ve heard horror stories. Have the best time in Africa and I await your tales and photos💓
Our F-150 in 4-wheel drive took us and the trailer out a day before the large crowd left< Cindy. Our journey fro, Black Rock City to the paved highway took 30 minutes as opposed to the 8-12 hours it took the day after. 🙂
I love the planets, and I’m wowed by your upcoming trip! I’ve been to a number of African nations, but not two of the ones you will see this time (Botswana and Zimbabwe). I’ve heard great things abut both – enjoy!
Thanks, Lexi. Other than the Nile, which we did this spring, my last time in Africa was as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the 60s. A while ago. Grin. But one of the things I did then was rent a VW bug and take a month to drive through the big game/national parks of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. I am ever so excited to get back.
Great shots, Curt. I would enjoy being up close like that. I am so glad you two got to experience so much of Burning Man before The Great Rain. Naturally, I’m dying to see your photos from Africa.
We were glad as well! But still, only having three days to explore the art as opposed to the six days were we planning was frustrating. We maybe saw half of the art. Our Africa adventure starts tomorrow. Excited!
Those are quite the spheres of influence. That Africa trip sounds amazing. I look forward to your stories/pictures…
Spheres of influence… Always enjoy your humor, Dave. And, Africa was absolutely incredible. You would have a blast there with your camera. We certainly did.
